After Electricity, Petroleum Products and LPG, Government also Increases CNG Prices

CNG prices increases by Rs 3.75 per Kg, New CNG price will be Rs 85.55 per Kg.

Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) has become common fuel in transport industry because it is cheaper than other fuels.To discourage common man to use it, the government has adopted the policy to end differnce between CNG and petrolium products prices.

Earlier, the price of CNG was Rs 81.80 per Kg. On February 1, 2021, OGRA issued a notification of new LPG prices for the month of February stating that the current price of the 11 kg LPG cylinder has been increased by Rs 122 and the new price of the cylinder will be Rs 1863. While the price per kg has been increased by Rs 10.38, so new price will be Rs 157 89 per Kg.

On the other hand, the new prices of petroleum products announced by the government have also been applied. The government has approved an increase petrol price by Rs 2.70 per liter, bringing the new price of petrol to Rs 111.90 per liter. Similarly, the price of high-speed diesel will be increased by Rs 2.88 per liter, with a new price of Rs 116.7 per liter.
The price of kerosene has been increased by Rs 3.54 per liter and the new price has been fixed at Rs 80.19 per liter. While the price of light diesel has gone up by Rs 3.00 per liter, so new price becomes Rs 79.23 per liter.
According to the Prime Minister’s House, OGRA had proposed an increase in petrol price by Rs13.18 per liter and high-speed diesel by Rs12.12 per liter, but Prime Minister Imran Khan has not approved these proposed prices.
