An application has been sumbmitted to National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) to increase the price of electricity by Rs 4.33 per unit.

NEPRA says Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) has submitted request for price hike.

NEPRA said that the request to increase the price of electricity will be heard on December 29, 2021.

Even through the October 2021 fuel price adjustment, the price of electricity has already gone up by Rs. 5 per unit.
