LAHORE: Government departments of Punjab have defaulted more than Rs 4 billion of Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO). LESCO has issued notices to all defaulters on non-payment of dues within a week. Connections will be disconnected.
It is decided to disconnect the government departments which did not pay the bill as per the orders issued by the CEO LESCO.
According to LESCO, the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) is in arrears of Rs 1.76 billion, while the Irrigation and Power Department is in arrears of Rs 40.33 million. Punjab Police has not paid bills amounting to Rs. 35,08, 41,559 have not been paid. TMO Shalimar has not paid bills amounting to Rs. 25,96,47,846.
