For overall better management of the Electricity Utility of Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCOO), to increase operational efficiency and reduce losses and for improvement in customer services, Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif approved the bifurcation of PESCO.
The HAZECO shall consist of two (02) Circles namely Hazara-I and Hazara-II Circles with the new Company’s Headquarters at Abbottabad.
The creation of HAZECO will provide a facility for the people of Hazara to solve their electricity problems locally.
Abbottabad is a hilly city. It is famous due to the physical training centre for commission officers of the Pakistan Army (Pakistan Military Academy (PMA), Kakul).
In January 1853 Abbottabad was founded and named after Major James Abbott, as the headquarters of Hazara District during British Rule. It is situated in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province, Pakistan.
Pakistan’s national poet, Allama Iqbal, visited Abbottabad in 1904. He was inspired by its beauty and wrote the famous poem “Abr” (the Cloud ). This poem elaborates beauty of this beautiful city.
