Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has abolished the facility of installment of electricity bills.

Lahore: Electricity bill installments have been banned at 9 customer centers and office level, lists have been provided to SDOs for disconnection of defaulters.

CSD LESCO Bashir Ahmed says that people take unfair advantage of installments, LESCO has to collect a total of Rs 122 billion from consumers.
It is to be noted that the process of privatization of LESCO has been started and approval has been given to outsourcing the distribution of consumer bills in the South Circle of the company.

According to the letter, the bill distribution will be outsourced as a pilot project in all the divisions of the South Circle, including Defense, Defense East, Kot Lakhpat, and Gulberg divisions.
The contract will be awarded to private companies.
