This increase in the price of electricity will not apply to K-Electric and lifeline consumers.
According to NEPRA officials, the shortage of LNG in January led to an additional burden of Rs 7.74 billion. Meanwhile, globally coal and LNG prices rose.
The authority also reprimanded the power division officials for the shortage of LNG.
