Increase In Electricity Price will make common man life more miserable.
The National Electric and Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has shifted the burden of Rs 12 billion on consumers by raising the price of electricity by 83 paise per unit under the July fuel price adjustment.
NEPRA has directed the electricity distribution companies to collect the increase in October electricity bills. According to the NEPRA notification, electricity has been made more expensive in the context of July’s fuel price adjustment.
On other hand, International Monterey Fund (IMF) continuously pressurizing Pakistan to increase electricity prices.
The decision will not apply to domestic consumers using up to 50 units of electricity per month.
In addition, the increase in the price of electricity will not apply to K-Electric customers.
