Petroleum product prices have risen sharply. The new prices will apply from September 16, 2021.
The price of diesel has been fixed at Rs 120.04 paise per liter after an increase of Rs 5.01 per liter.
The price of kerosene has been increased by Rs 5.46 per liter, after which the new price has gone up to Rs 92.26 per liter.
The price of light diesel oil has been increased by Rs 5.92 per liter and the new price has been fixed at Rs 90.69 per liter.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the new prices of petroleum products will be applicable from September 16.
It may also be mentioned here that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had yesterday proposed to increase the price of petrol by Rs 1 and diesel by Rs 10.50, but government combine both and approved Rs10/= increase. In addition, kerosene has been made eight paise less than the proposal and light diesel 42 paise more expensive than the OGRA proposal.
