Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced a reduction in the prices of Petroleum Products i.e, Petrol by Rs.18.50/= and Diesel by Rs.40.54/=
The new price of petrol will be Rs 230.24 and diesel Rs 236/litre from 15/7. Kerosene is reduced by Rs 33.81 to Rs 196.45 and Light Diesel Oil will be reduced by Rs 37.71 to Rs 191.44.

The agreement with IMF was signed by the previous government, but not honoured. PTI government scattered the remnants of this agreement.
The previous government laid mine for PDM. There was no money in the treasury to reduce the oil prices, but the previous government suddenly reduced the oil prices. The work was done to put the PDM government in trouble.
The Prime Minister said that thanks to Allah, the prices of oil in the world market are falling rapidly today. We have got the opportunity to reduce the prices and we have had the privilege of bringing every single penny of this reduction to you. The Prime Minister said that an agreement has also been reached with the IMF after day and night efforts, which goes to our Finance Minister Miftah Ismail and his team.
“I promised you I would never misrepresent, we put a stone on the heart and increased the prices, we had no other choice,” he added.
May this be our last agreement with the IMF. It may be recalled that OGRA yesterday recommended a reduction in the price of petroleum products by up to Rs 33 per litre. According to the summary, the price of diesel was also reduced by Rs 33 per litre while the price of petrol was reduced by Rs 18 per litre.
Shehbaz Sharif said that the Neelum Jhelum project took 20 years instead of seven years, the Neelum Jhelum project took 5 billion dollars instead of one billion, and 3 projects have to be worked day and night in the next 14 months.
