The government has increased LPG prices

OGRA issues notification of Rs 9.66 per kg increase in LPG price for domestic and commercial consumers.

The government has increased LPG prices for domestic and commercial consumers. According to media reports, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has issued a notification to increase the price of LPG by Rs 9.66 per kg for domestic and commercial consumers.

According to the notification issued by OGRA, the new price of the domestic cylinder has been increased by Rs 1530.34 while the price of LPG cylinder for commercial consumers has been increased by Rs 114.05.

Earlier, the Finance Ministry had issued a statement on the recommendation of OGRA to revise the prices of petroleum products. The Finance Ministry has reduced the price of petrol by Rs 57 per liter on OGRA’s summary. After the reduction, the new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs 102.40 per liter.
Similarly, the price of diesel has been reduced by 84 paise per liter.

The new price of diesel has been fixed at Rs 103.32. However, the current prices of kerosene and light diesel will remain the same. The price of light diesel will remain at Rs 62.86 per liter and kerosene at Rs 65.29 per liter. Under the notification, the new prices of petroleum products will be applicable from 12 noon tonight. Earlier, the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) had demanded the government to reduce the ratio of excise duty and tax on petroleum products to support industry and trade.
