The Government increased price of LNG.

As a result of the government’s purchase of LNG at exorbitant prices, the price of LNG has been sharply increased.

Lahore: After an increase of Rs9.45 paise, the price of LNG increased from Rs107.50 paise to Rs116.95 paise per kg.

In the provincial capital Lahore, the price of LNG has been increased by Rs9.45 per kg, as a result of which the price of LNG has gone up from Rs107.50 to Rs116.95 per kg. The LNG Dealers Association said that the increase in the price of LNG was due to the government’s purchase it at higher prices.

Earlier, on August 31, 2021, the price of LPG was also increased. The government has increased the price of LPG by Rs 5 per kg for September.

A notification has been issued to increase the price of LPG for September, according to which the price of a domestic cylinder of LPG has been increased by Rs. 58. The new price of 11.18 kg LPG domestic cylinder has been fixed at Rs. Commercial cylinders have been made expensive by Rs 223, LPG commercial will be available at Rs 7926.

In August, the domestic price of LPG was Rs. 2002.07 paise per cylinder. It should be noted that the government was forced to make the most expensive deal for the purchase of LNG cargo due to the increase in prices in the world market.

It has been informed that the government is getting the minimum price of LNG in the global market for Pakistan at the current rate of 17 to 22 dollars per MMBTU.
Pakistan has never bought such an expensive LNG. Gas prices in the local market are expected to rise sharply this month and in the winter due to the purchase of expensive LNG, while electricity prices are also expected to rise due to expensive LNG.
