Electricity Price Increased by Rs. 4.30 per unit: NEPRA Notification Issued

Islamabad: The government has imposed more burden on the people under the burden of inflation. NEPRA has approved to increase the price of electricity by Rs. 4.30 per unit. In this regard, notification of an increase in the price of electricity has been issued.

According to the notification, additional charges will be levied on January bills. The increase will not apply to K-Electric and lifeline customers.

NEPRA has approved to increase the price of electricity by Rs 4.30 per unit.
It may be recalled that at the end of December 2021 the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) had completed the hearing regarding the increase in electricity prices for November 2021.
During the hearing, NEPRA said that it would review the data of CPPA. The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) had requested an increase of Rs 4.33 in electricity prices.
